Occidental Petroleum Corporation and Western Water and Land contracted with WWE to perform and analysis of the existing spillway and outfall to determine if the current performance meets the requirements of the State Engineers Office of Colorado (SEO).

In addition to the analysis of the current performance, a modified spillway design was completed at a lowered elevation to meet the requirements of the SEO and to address seepage issues on the dam embankment.
