WestWater biologists conducted a 10-year benthic macroinvertebrate water quality monitoring study in support of a comprehensive wildlife management plan for a privately-owned ranch in western Colorado.
Sampling and analysis methods were consistent with the CDPHE BMI program, which utilized the Macroinvertebrate Multimetric Index (MMI).
This program was used to monitor stream health through the application of threshold values for attainment and impairment classifications set forth by the state.
