WestWater Engineering designed a 350,000 gallon steel pre-settling basin that was constructed adjacent to the new water treatment plant, and renovated an 80-year old concrete water storage tank.
The pre-settling tank utilizes a specially designed inlet with polymer feed to allow pre-flocculation prior to settling, and a unique backwash and washdown system to allow periodic flushing of deposited sediment in the tank.
The reservoir renovation included new inlet and outlet piping, and water level controls that control the water treatment plant operation through a telephone telemetry system.
