WestWater Engineering designed a new drinking water system for the stable and apartment in conformance with applicable design criteria.
The ground water supply required only disinfection as verified by a microscopic particulate analysis, however, a high level of radon (910 pCi/l) dissolved in the ground water that exceeds proposed limits by the EPA, was determined to be a potential health hazard. This required the final treatment system to include provisions to aerate the water supply in order to “off-gas” dissolved radon.
