The Island Acres Waterline Extension Project was completed for the Ute Water Conservancy District to supply domestic water to the Cameo Truck Stop and the Island Acres Recreational Area.

The project included the construction of 150-feet of 16-inch diameter steel casing pipe bored across I-70 near Cameo. A 6-inch waterline was installed in the casing to provide domestic water to the Island Acres Recreational Area.
