WestWater biologists conducted SSS plant surveys for Sclerocactus glaucus, Astragalus naturitensis, and Phacelia submutica along the pipeline route. All three were present along the pipeline route and WestWater biologists conducted during and post construction monitoring for these species.
Biologists also surveyed the project area for migratory birds and raptor species. A biological monitoring report was developed by WestWater and was submitted to the GJFO BLM in November of 2009.
This report included monitoring goals, conditions of the plants post-construction, population estimates based on field examination, and overall health of the habitat along the pipeline ROW.
