WestWater Engineering designed the improvements to the spillways and outlet structures for Coon Creek Reservoirs No. 1 and No. 2 that are located on the Grand Mesa.

The project consisted of spillway analysis, and design improvements to the spillway and outlet works that included erosion structures and bar racks, and an embankment toe drain. Plans and Specifications were prepared with associated approvals from the State Engineer’s Office.

The reservoirs are now known as Griffith Lake and Mid Griffith Lake that are 277 AF and 40 AF respectively.
