ENVIRONMENTAL DEPARTMENT
Our diverse environmental staff of biologists, resource specialists, GIS analysts, hydrologists and geologists allows us to carry projects through from conceptual design to project completion and monitoring.
Team members have an average of 26 years
experience in Western Colorado performing
biological surveys, environmental documentation,
impact avoidance, mitigation design, and project
liaison. We maintain close working relationships
with Federal, State and local regulatory agencies
including the Bureau of Land Management (BLM),
U.S. Forest Service (USFS), Army Corps of
Engineers (ACOE) and Colorado Division of Wildlife
(CDOW).
Many of our team members are former agency
representatives from Western Colorado, providing
WestWater with a unique perspective and ability to
foresee and avoid potential project issues while
focusing on client and project needs. Our expertise
includes biological assessment; wetland
delineation and mitigation; threatened, endangered and sensitive species; and reclamation and
ecological restoration.
WestWater has provided services related to oil and gas, oil shale, nahcolite, coal, uranium exploration and development, agency planning and resource enhancement, pipeline and power line projects, municipal water and sanitary sewer projects.
We have the ability to offer a full range of services with a high level of performance, yet retain the personal service and efficiency which are characteristic of a smaller firm.
